Jueane Thiessen, Director and CFO
Ms. Jueane Thiessen, C.G.A., contributes to the achievement of strategic business goals through demonstrated strength in management, budgeting, forecasting, planning and analysis. Besides working in the Marketing and Advertising sectors, Ms. Thiessen has had over 15 years of experience performing accounting and financial management services in technology and software development.
Since 2000, Ms. Thiessen's employment history has included: Treasurer of Algorithmics Inc., an enterprise risk management software firm, Assistant Controller of Mosaic Group Inc., a publically listed marketing and technology services firm, Director of Finance for FUSE Marketing Group, and Chief Financial Officer for the real estate marketing agency N5R.com Inc. Currently Ms. Thiessen holds the position of Director and CFO of UOMO Media Inc., a publically listed media and entertainment company.
While working within marketing, Ms. Thiessen has gained extensive experience in planning and managing marketing budgets for clients such as Coke, Starbucks, Sony Ericsson, Rogers Wireless, GE Capital, Kraft, Kellogg, ING, and Daimler Chrysler, amongst others, which include large institutional banking and beverage clients.
Mr. Donald (Don) Gilpin, Director
Mr. Donald Gilpin has had a career spanning over 30 years in product development and sales management in the packaging and point-of-sale display industries (packaged goods and retail). Prior to joining Portlogic Systems Inc., Mr. Gilpin's headed Image Pak Display Group, a division of Smurfit Stone, a major packaging and display manufacturer. Mr. Gilpin was also responsible for the creation, development and implementation of the Shoppers Drug Mart: Sidewinder Display program, which today, is utilized by the point-of-purchase display industry in all major retail stores throughout North America. Mr. Gilpin has been the President of Abaan & Associates Inc. since its inception in May 2008. Prior to that, Mr. Gilpin was the Vice President Business Development at Talon Retail Strategies Group Inc. Mr. Gilpin is also the initial creator of the Intelligent Ad Merchandiser (I|AM) system. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration from York University in Toronto in 1973. |
